Dr. Rebekah Josberger
Old Testament and Hebrew Professor, Multnomah University
Dr. Josberger writes "I have a passion for Old Testament studies and biblical languages, particularly Hebrew. My goal is for students to learn to read and understand the Word for themselves, whether in Hebrew or English, so that they might better know its Author."
Course Description
This course addresses what I believe is the least understood and possibly the most exciting portion of Scripture! In my own journey with Torah I went from being relieved that New Testament believers are under grace instead of law, to recognizing that Torah is grace. Rooted in the character of God, Torah instructs God’s people in practical examples of how to live out righteousness amidst the brokenness of life. As an educational tool (learn by doing) the purpose of Torah is not redemption (which is God’s job alone), but relationship. When we practice the character of God, we learn who He is! and, in the process, we reflect His character to a watching world.
